The Avengers movie and Free Comic Book Day …
Well, it’s finally here. It’s May 4, which means that The Avengers movie is finally in theaters. Huzzah! I’ve really been looking forward to this one. I’m not sure if I’ll get to see it this weekend or not, but I’ll definitely be going to the movies sometime in the next few days to watch it.
Also, tomorrow, May 5, is Free Comic Book Day. This is an annual event where comic books shops all across the U.S. and around the world give away free comic books.
I’ll be signing books from 1-3 p.m. at Mountain Empire Comics in Bristol, Tenn. I believe other writers and graphic/comic artists will also be at the store as part of its annual Free Comic Book Day events.
Wherever you are, I encourage you to get out and visit your local comic book store on Free Comic Book Day. It’s just a really cool, fun event.
What a great toot out there to the comic stores. My husband is a huge comic book collector/buff. Yep, he was one of those crazy fools that went to the midnight showing last night! 🙂
Our local comic book store is awesome for Free Comic Book day! There is a group of guys that dress up as all kinds of Super Heroes and my kids have been in the paper with them before! It’s a neat event just like ya mentioned!
Kudos to you 🙂
I didn’t get to the midnight showing, but I’m hoping to see the movie today.
Free Comic Book Day really is just a fun event. That’s cool that your local store participates in it and that people dress up for it.
I love Free Comic Book Day! Totally awesome-well comics are awesome period; just better when they’re free. 🙂 I’m seeing The Avengers on my next day off. Cannot wait. Heard it was kickass.
Free comics are always good. LOL.
I saw The Avengers yesterday. I was prepared to be disappointed because of all the hype, but it was really good. Hope you enjoy it.
I saw the Avengers on Friday! It was EPIC!! Totally awesome!! I even want to go watch it again 😛 lol
That movie really looks like something Gwen would like to go see…lol
I liked the movie a lot too. I may go see it again while it’s in the theaters.
I hadn’t thought about that, but yeah, Gwen probably would have gone to see it and gotten all her friends to go with her too. LOL.
