Blogs, blogs, blogs …
I like reading about books just as much as I like writing them. Probably more so, since reading books doesn’t come with pesky things like copy edits or deadlines. LOL.
Today, I wanted to give a shout-out and say thanks to all the book reviewers and bloggers out there. You guys are so instrumental in getting the word out about so many great books, and I thank you for that.
Book blogs are like my own personal form of crack. I probably look at about 20 book sites a day, not only so I can keep up with what’s going on but just to find new books and authors to add to my TBR pile. So I thought I’d share some cool book blogs with you guys today. Here goes:
Babbling About Books, and More
I could go on all day. There are literally dozens and dozens of great book blogs out there. This is by no means an exhaustive list — just a place for you to get started if you’re hungry for book news like I am. What about you guys? What are some of your favorite book sites? Share in the comments.
I love how we have so many book blogs to pick from lately, I blog about books and book news myself, so I’m never tired of finding a new book blog to read and follow. I’m like you Jennifer, Book Blogs and the goodreads website are my own personal form of crack. I dread the day my dealers stop posting 😛
I know. There are so many great book blogs out there. It seems like I come across a new one every week that I really like and have to add to my bookmarks list. LOL.
I have to admit, I never really went to a book blog site. I do go to goodreads. Yet, that’s mainly to compare what I’ve read to my friends. When I hunt for new books, I end up on Amazon and just type in a book subject, i.e. dragons, and read all the book summaries. (I found Spider’s Bite by typing in urban fantasy there.)
Perhaps, I shall take a look at one of the sites you posted and give that a try! After my April 1st deadlines I’ll have time to read again!
I get a lot of info from Amazon too. Sometimes, I think I could surf over there all day. LOL. That’s cool how you found Spider’s Bite.
These are all good sites, especially if you like paranormal and romance books. Happy surfing!
First off, I couldn’t agree more. I find so many of my reads from book blogs I love and from GoodReads. They are some of the only places where people actually get my massive addiction to books. Some of my favorite book blogs are: I Swim For Oceans, Steampunkery and Book Reviews, Supernatural Snark, Books as Portable Pieces of Thoughts, Book Love. Okay, so I could probably go on forever, so I’ll stop.
Secondly, I loved your books! Can’t wait for Tangled Threads!

Goodreads is another one of my crack sites. LOL. And thanks for all the links. I’ll have to check those out.
Cool. Hope you like the book when it comes out!
I have so much fun reading what other people think of the books I read. Through Goodreads & the blogs, I’ve made several “book-friends.” The same services also give us a chance to interact with the authors we love. And we appreciate how many of you take the time to talk with us!
I love Goodreads not only because it lets me connect with other folks, but I think it’s just a really easy way to keep track of what I’ve read and want to read. It’s a very handy site!
First, I research books on Amazon. Then head to Goodreads. If I see something that interests me I head straight to the author’s websites, review her/his booklist, read her blog, and learn about her style, worldbuilding, and characters. Sometimes writers have links to book blogs or other positive reviewers of their work. Katiebabs comes up a lot so I’ve found her blog reliable. Smart ______ (rhymes with Witches), Trashy Books is an interesting blog. Not to sound too nerdy, but if I’m absolutely devoted to a series I will use Google, or whatever search engine, to gain as much info as possible.
Thanks for the book blog list!
Maybe I’m weird, but I rarely go to an author’s website. I look at Amazon, Goodreads, and other blogs more than the author websites. Katiebabs has a lot of good content on her blog. So does Smart Bitches and Dear Author too.
You’re welcome. I’ll probably do it again sometime and list some of the other blogs I visit …
I thought I’d checked out all of the book blogs out there, but you listed a couple I’ve yet to check out! I really enjoy Wicked Lil’ Pixie and Fiction Vixen. I also like The Spinecracker. I have others I check too, but I have to say those are my staples. Oh, and Smexy Books too. 🙂
All of those are good blogs, and so is yours. 😉 I could have easily listed 20 or 30 blogs …
I am very excited to have made your list!! And now a little nervous knowing you’ve been reading the blog. LOL. Yes, I’m one of those bloggers that posts embarrassing things with the assumption on one will read it anyway. 🙂
You’ve got a great list there, I regularly visit them all except for one and I’m getting ready to remedy that.
Damn my typos. *redface*
Hey, I like the llama posts. LOL. Seriously, I like how many different genres/books you cover.
These are just some of the blogs that I read. You should see how many windows I make my browser open up every morning when I do my daily book surfing. 😉
I actually read authors blogs more often for book reviews than I do blogs. I’ve found that book recs by authors I really like very often line up with my tastes. You, Shiloh Walker, and Carolyn Crane are all great about recomending great books! Elizabeth Hoyt also provides good recs for historical romances. I’ve yet to find any book blogs/reviews that match that accurately.
If I’m really struggling for a new book I do browse around some blog sites, but whether or not I read a book is usually more dependant on the sypnosis than the review.
Cool. I’m glad you enjoy the book reviews that I do here on the blog. Yeah, I know what you mean. If the back cover copy sounds interesting and like something I would enjoy, I’ll probably pick up a book, even if it hasn’t gotten great reviews.
