Entangled e-anthology now available …
I’m one of several authors who has contributed a story to Entangled, an e-anthology. I think this is a really cool project because all the money raised is going to breast cancer research.
Unfortunately, breast cancer is a disease that seems to affect all of us. Everyone seems to know someone who’s had the disease, whether it’s their mother, grandmother, sister, or friend. My grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, and I wanted to write a story for this anthology to honor her strength and spirit, as well as everyone else who’s struggled with or been affected by the disease. Here’s hoping for a cure – the sooner, the better.
My story is called Halloween Frost. It’s about 6,500 words and is part of my Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series. The story takes place after the events of Touch of Frost. You can read an excerpt here, and here’s the description:
It’s Halloween at Mythos Academy, but Gwen Frost and her friends are in for more tricks than treats when they run into a mythological monster intent on killing them.
And here’s some general info about the anthology, the other authors participating, and their stories:
Ghosts, vampires, demons, and more! Entangled includes ten suspense-filled paranormal short stories from authors Cynthia Eden, Jennifer Estep, Edie Ramer, Lori Brighton, Michelle Diener, Misty Evans, Nancy Haddock, Liz Kreger, Dale Mayer, and Michelle Miles, plus a Seven Deadly Sins novella by Allison Brennan.
Stacia Kane contributed the foreword. Formatting and cover art were also donated to the project by Lori Devoti and Laura Morrigan.
All proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
STORIES INCLUDE:
THE FAT CAT by Edie Ramer (author of Cattitude, Galaxy Girls) — In a battle for the souls of seven women, a wizard has the god of war on his side; all the witch has is a fat, black cat.

If she fails, her own great grandfather’s spirit may be lost forever.
SWEET DEMON by Misty Evans (author of the Witches Anonymous series) —When Chicago’s vampire king insists Kali Sweet join his empire, the vengeance demon must rely on her ex – the half-human, half-chaos demon who left her at the altar three hundred years ago – in order to escape the vamp’s clutches.

Pretty cool, huh? The e-anthology is available for $2.99 through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other online booksellers. Happy reading! 😉
Jennifer, I’m so happy that you were able to be a part of this. I love your story, and so do the reviewers. This has been an amazing experience, and it keeps getting better.
Thanks, Edie! I appreciate you asking me to participate in the anthology. It’s been a lot of fun. 😉
Lovely, Jennifer! It’s an honor to be in the anthology with you, and a real treat to work with you. I’ve been a fan since your first book and will stay a fan!
Light,
Nancy
Thanks, Nancy! That’s so nice of you to say. It’s been great working with you too and everyone else in the anthology. 😉
This is not only for a great cause but I’m excited to get so many cool short stories in one place for a super low price. Let’s all contribute to its success.
Thanks, Marley! That’s really nice of you to say. Hope you enjoy the anthology. Happy reading! 😉
Hi Jennifer!
So glad to see this up. The more places the better chance of getting that message out!
It’s been a great experience and honor to work on this project with you!
Hi Jennifer,
That’s great that you have this up today. The more the better – let’s get the word out!
It’s been an honor to work with so many great authors on this project – and a lot of fun!
Thanks, Dale! It’s been great working with you and all the other authors on the project too. 😉
Next time I’m in a book store I will be picking this up! My grandmother passed away from breast cancer, so this is a double bonus as I can help others (in a small way) that are battling it.
Thanks for posting and for being a part of something so important to many.
<3
Actually, this is an e-only anthology — no paper copies. But it’s available at Amazon, B&N, Smashwords, and All Romance Ebooks, so I hope you can find an e-format you like.
I’m very sorry to hear about your grandmother. Unfortunately, it seems like we all know someone who’s had or been affected by breast cancer, whether it’s ourselves, a relative, or a friend. It’s been really cool being part of the anthology and doing something for such a worthwhile cause.
Well bonus that I don’t have to go out to get it then! I’ll go buy it now. ^.^ (Maybe I should make lunch first, I tend to get sucked into books and forget things like eating.) =P
Writing in general, for a cause or not, is very worthwhile. You provide an escape from the real world for those that truly need it. Not to mention your words can inspire a great many people, and influence the world as it is today. I think authors don’t get enough credit for all that they do.
/steps off pedestal…lol ^.^
I hope you have many more stories to come.
Cool. Hope you enjoy the anthology.
And thanks for all the nice words. I appreciate them. I think we’ve all had a lot of fun participating in the anthology. The fact that it’s for a good cause makes it much more special.
