Rings and shields and hammers, oh my …

So the Green Lantern movie is out today, Captain America will hit theaters in another month, and Thor has been out since early May.

All these movies have got me thinking about the heroes and their various gadgets/powers. Green Lantern has his ring, Captain America has his shield, and Thor has his hammer. If you had to pick just one, which gadget/power would you go with?

I’d pick Green Lantern’s ring because you can create anything you can dream up with it. Although Thor’s hammer would be fun to use in a Hulk smash! kind of way.

What about you guys? Which superhero gadget would you pick? And what movies are you looking forward to this summer?

    Does that give you any idea what I would choose?

    Actually, I would want a ring that could tap into the entirety of the Emotional Spectrum, and not just the green.

      Funny you mention that. At Free Comic Book Day this year, my local comic book store was hanging out different-colored lantern rings for the various areas.

    I’m personally looking forward to Thor, Green Lantern, Captain America, AND…..Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon! I can sit and watch the Transformers movies for hours over and over again and not get bored. Which is odd, because I never really watched Transformers as a kid, I was more a Jem and the Holograms/She-Ra, Princess of Power kinda girl.

      I have high hopes for Captain America. I’m crossing my fingers that it will be really good. Oh, I watched Transformers and She-Ra and He-Man when I was a kid too …

    Ugh, the Green Lantern movie isn’t out here till friggen August. I hate it when movies come out late here– as well as books, too. Sometimes I hate Australia. -____-

      That’s too bad. I always think it’s weird when different movies open. Some open here first and some open overseas first. I’ve always wondered how they decide what opens when and where …
